Join us as we explore how to bring more intention and mindfulness to our outdoor experiences using techniques from wilderness therapy, ecopsychology, somatics, and trauma-sensitive yoga. Learn how to embrace the healing effects of nature to better manage stress, foster presence, and find a deeper sense of connectedness while out on your adventures.Â
In this two-hour workshop, we will create a space to move our bodies together, foster presence through mindfulness practices, and consider how we impact and are impacted by nature.
This is more than just your typical yoga class… we will be focusing on embodiment over exercise, taking a journey together to find how yoga and somatic movements can deepen our sense of presence and connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.Â
Ways we’ll engage with these themes together:Â
- Trauma-sensitive yoga practices to engage the body and heart.Â
- Somatic exercises to foster awareness of self and our interconnectedness to all life.
- Mindfulness practices to deepen your sense of connection and calm.
- Time of reflection and integration to gain personal insight and optional group share
